Marie Morel

Marie Morel is a painter, artist and musician known –among other things– for her canvases on birds. She began painting as a child and never stopped. Morel has participated in numerous exhibitions in France and abroad. In 1983, she was received the Fénéon Prize awarded annually to a French-language writer and a visual artist. Many books have been published on her works, including a 600 pages monograph with texts by Pascal Quignard, who has described her as “one of the greatest living painters.” Since 1981, Marie Morel has been publishing, Regard, a small magazine of art and poetry. She has just started to make movies.
