Night of Ideas is back in person this year!  

 

A free late-night event featuring top public intellectuals and performers from the U.S., France and around the world, Night of Ideas is a marathon of philosophical debates, music performances, screenings, readings, and more at Brooklyn Public Library 

 

New this year: Start your Night of Ideas with a bus journey from Villa Albertine headquarters in Manhattan to Brooklyn Public Library where you’ll enjoy a private 1:1 discussion with a Night of Ideas artist or speaker sitting next to you. All buses will depart at 5pm ! 

 

Speakers and performers on the buses and in Brooklyn will include musician and writer Patti Smith, Goncourt Prize-winning novelist Leïla Slimani, Chief AI Scientist at Meta Yann LeCun, political scientist Claire Sagan, and more.

Safety Protocols:

For everyone’s health and safety, this year’s Night of Ideas will be presented to a limited capacity audience. Registration is required. Admission will be conducted on a first come, first serve basis and guests will be admitted on a rolling basis until we’ve reached capacity. Please note that your registration does not guarantee admission.

All participants must present proof of vaccination to enter. Masks are required to attend and must be worn at all times except when actively eating or drinking. Negative Covid test results (PCR or rapid antigen tests) will not be accepted and cannot be shown instead of proof of vaccination.

We also ask that you conduct a self-assessment before arriving and again onsite to ensure that you are not feeling unwell and have not experienced any symptoms attributable to COVID-19, nor had contact with a person suspected or confirmed to have COVID-19 within the last 10 days.

Please keep a responsible physical distance when possible and remember to wash your hands/use hand sanitizer frequently.
