Today, he continues to produce acclaimed films and media projects rooted in Florida’s social and political landscape, including the weekly #BecauseMiami podcast for Dan Le Batard’s Meadowlark Media.

Ismaël Joffroy Chandoutis is a French filmmaker and visual artist working at the intersection of cinema and digital art. His films, including Swatted (2018) and Maalbeek (2020, César for Best Documentary Short), have screened at major festivals such as Cannes, Annecy, and IDFA. His work explores digital identity and the construction of reality in the post-truth era. He is currently a Villa Albertine 2026 resident in Miami, developing The Goldberg Variations, a hybrid feature film on online extremism.

Professor Jane Bambauer is the Brechner Eminent Scholar at the Levin College of Law and at the College of Journalism and Communications. Her work analyzes how new information technologies affect free speech, privacy, and public policy. Professor Bambauer currently serves as the Principle Investigator for a Knight Foundation-funded research project that studies audience capture and consumers’ demand for confirmatory “bullshit.”  Prof. Bambauer cohosts the “Free Speech Unmuted” podcast, and her work has been featured in the Washington Post, the New York Times, Fox News, and Lawfare, where she is a contributing editor.

Dr. Joseph Uscinski is a professor of political science at the University of Miami. For more than a decade, he has been polling Americans about their beliefs in conspiracy theories and other dubious ideas. Professor Uscinski has published more than 60 peer-reviewed articles and several books, including American Conspiracy Theories, widely considered the foundational study of modern American conspiracy theories, and Conspiracy Theories: A Primer, the first textbook on conspiracy theories.
