The 2025 edition of Night of Ideas will take place on March 27th at The Club at Union Square on the LSU Campus at 7pm. To respond to this year’s theme, “Common Ground,” we are offering a free and open to the public acoustic concert-discussion led by Acadian musicians Gina Forsyth, guitarist Jan Boney, accordionist Donna Angelle, washboard/percussionist Mary Duncan, and bassist Sam Wrobel.
The musical program will begin at 7:15pm, with three musical performances along with two planned breaks for a structured discussion with the audience. During each break, guests are welcome to open particular envelopes, containing prompts and questions for the musicians and for other audience members intended to spur discussions on “building solidarity across difference.”
The concert will end at 8:45pm, allowing participants to mingle and carry on the conversation. Our evening lineup of events is complete, but the conversations are meant to continue!
