Villa Albertine’s Night of Ideas 2026 in Washington, DC explores Enlightenment Now! Independence at 250
One evening of high-level panels, artistic performances, and civic dialogue at the George Washington University will bring together leading French, American, and European thinkers to reflect on the legacy of the Enlightenment and the democratic challenges of the next 250 years.
Hosted at the George Washington University, Corcoran School of the Arts & Design, Columbian College of Arts & Sciences the 2026 edition, titled Enlightenment Now! Independence at 250, will unfold through high-level panels and artistic performances, exploring the legacy of the Enlightenment alongside today’s societal and ecological challenges.
This event has been officially designated as part of the America250 program by the Embassy of France’s Task Force.
