Aurore J. Deka is a French as a foreign language teacher and author. She has had a passion for writing since her teenage years. “Quand Chante la Pluie” is her first novel. She has a degree in musicology for opera and singing theater professions, a certification in art therapy, and a diploma in teaching French as a foreign language. Aurore has been teaching French in the United States for eight years.
Anne E. Duggan is professor of French at Wayne State University. She is author of Salonnières, Furies, and Fairies: The Politics of Gender and Cultural Change in Absolutist France (2005; 2021), and Queer Enchantments: Gender, Sexuality, and Class in the Fairy-Tale Cinema of Jacques Demy (2013), and her most recent book is The Lost Princess: Women Writers and the History of Classic Fairy Tales (2023).
Françoise Guellec is Executive Director of the Alliance Française de Detroit / French Institute of Michigan. Françoise has been living in Michigan since 1998, she grew up in Le Mans area and then lived ten years in Paris, where she worked in research development for the cosmetic industry. After moving to Michigan, she volunteered with the Alliance Française de Détroit / French Institute of Michigan. She then started teaching French in 2008 and since 2014 has been part of the organization leadership.
Jolene Vos-Camy has been a professor of French at Calvin University (Grand Rapids, MI) since 1997. She earned her doctorate from Indiana University in 2000, and in 2021 she was named Chevalière dans l’Ordre des Palmes Académiques. Her area of research is 17th century French Literature.
